Kenan's Train PartySaturday was Kenan’s 5th birthday party.  (His real birthday was rainy cold Sunday but Helen’s prescience kicked in and she organized the party for sunny hot Saturday.  You go girl!)

Ten kids enjoyed the weather and the train theme, including an obstacle course complete with tunnels, bridges, slides, and water balloons; a blindfolded pudding-feeding event; and of course the Cake Crossing.

Interestingly, half the gifts followed the Thomas train theme, and the other half were bubble-related, with a couple of bubble-blowing contraptions and a rocket that streams bubbles behind it as it lifts off.

Here is a sampling of pictures from the day.

Shana bought Kenan an “Armour of God” set, which he’s been wanting for ages, but the funniest thing was how all the other kids immediately and simultanously chose to help him put all the pieces on.  He looked rather lost through the whole ordeal, as 3-4 kids at a time took it upon themselves to dress him.

But he was quite impressed with the result!
